BRIMA (Bhavan’s Royal
Institute’s Management Association)
is the students’ forum… engaged
in the grooming of budding professionals
of the corporate world. The focus of activities
of BRIMA will be in the holistic development
of each and every student. The major initiatives
of BRIMA include organizing and co-ordinating
Management workshops, seminars, paper presentations
etc. In addition to this students will also
be exposed to Business quiz, cultural fest
etc organized by business corporations and
business schools. BRIMA regularly monitors
and evaluates the overall performance of
students and provide feedback on a continuous
basis to motivate performance of its members.

1. CORPORATE INTERACTION
Students in BRIM are provided ample occasions to interact with the Corporate Executives. The main objective of corporate interaction is to expose them to the reality of corporate world. The executives from different industries are invited to share their experience and expertise so that the students will get acclimatized to various industrial cultures and practices. Both practitioners and consultants from industry are invited. The forum provides students the opportunity to bridge the gap between theory and practice through open discussions and debate with distinguished practitioners. These interactions enable the students to understand the challenges ahead of practicing Managers.
2. PAPER PRESENTATION
The objective of paper presentation is to develop quest for research among the students. The spirit for searching information will definitely improve the reading habits of the students and provide them in depth knowledge about current business environment. This will also help to develop the comprehending skill, writing skill, and presentation skill of the students. The student’s will be given the opportunity to present papers in national and international seminars, conferences and competitions.
3. CASE STUDY
Case study method is considered as the most suitable teaching methodology for teaching Management. It is almost similar to experiential learning and used to enhance the decision making skills of students. Case studies took the form of an in basket exercise. Mostly real life situations are presented to the students as case. The students are asked to analyse the issue and find out solutions. It helps students to get a feel about business issues, possible options of each of such issues, get the opportunity for evaluating the pros and cons of choosing or rejecting an option and the like. They experience the intricacies involved in managerial decision making and also familiarizes with systems and processes in such business corporations.
4. JOURNALS REVIEW
The field of Management is highly dynamic. Innovations and creative imitations provide competitive advantage for business corporations. It is Management journals that carry information related to current practices and expert opinion about the impact of changes in such practices. It is essential for management students to keep abreast with such changes by reading good journals. Both National and International Journals were available in the BRIM library. Students are expected to review the articles in journals. They have to critically evaluate the article and make a presentation before their classmates. This exercise will enhance the presentation skills of the students. Journal review provides the students with the opportunity for reading articles relevant to business and industry and assimilates changes happening around the world.
5. BUSINESS QUIZ
BRIM aims at giving every opportunity for the student to develop. Participating in Business quiz and competitions add value to the students. Students are regularly monitored for ensuring their active interest and participation in such programmes.
6. NEWS REVIEW
To be abreast with the latest developments in the business scenario reading major business dailies every day is necessary. BRIM subscribes almost all the major business dailies. Students are expected to go through the dailies and are given opportunity to present their views about the major issues in a day’s paper. While one of the students critically reviews a news item with additional information collected through his research and enquiry others participate in the discussion session following the presentation.
7. STUDENT'S CLUB
A) SYNERGY- Student life is diverse @ BRIM. All activities are converged at the holistic development of students. Be it sports, hobbies, cultural or literary events; the main emphasis of all student activities at the campus is for the overall improvement of managerial skills and personal attribute of the students.The purpose of Synergy the HR Club, is to enhance professional competence through personal development and growth and to encourage members to take a global and strategic view of their development as leaders.
B) MARKETING MIX- Marketing Mix is the marketing club of BRIM.The main objective is to enhance the marketing sense and skills of the students through practical application of their learning in different areas of marketing. The activities and events will be conducted by the student body which includes games, quizzes, market analysis and expert insights about contemporary developments in marketing.
C) FORTUNA- The BRIM “Fortuna” club is intended to promote the activities of the finance wizards in the class. It promotes peer and interactive learning among the students in the area of finance. The Fortuna club provides an opportunity to the students to take the initiative and organize occasional talks by finance specialist from the industry. The club also conducts stock games, quizzes, business plan and other experimental methods to promote “learning by doing” in the fast changing field of finance.
